Daraa, Syria− Several areas in the suburb of Syrian southern city of Daraa saw on Tuesday clashes between the regime forces and fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA). Meanwhile, several districts in Daraa city were hit by rockets and artillery shelling.
Haitham al-Nassar, a civil activist based in Daraa, told ARA News that the regime forces targeted Inkhil city with artillery shelling.
“No confirmation yet about the number of casualties in Inkhil,” Nassar said.
The city of al-Shaykh Miskin in Daraa suburb was also targeted by artillery shelling on Tuesday, amid clashes between FSA rebels and the regime forces.
At least 10 regime soldiers were killed during sporadic clashes in Daraa al-Mahata area, Nassar said.
Meanwhile, the Syrian army attacked with rockets the town of Sahm Golan, west of Daraa city, media activists reported.
Tuesday’s military operations also included the Mansheya and al-Balad districts in Daraa city where the regime forces resorted to heavy artillery shelling from the Artillery Battalion (army division 285).
